Fixed, Flued Heating vs Portable
Fixed, Fueld Heating vs Portable
Flued heaters are ideal for colder climates where heaters are left on for long periods. These heaters are fixed, can generate a lot of heat quickly, with the products of combustion ‘flued’ outside to preserve air quality. Installation requirements vary between states, so check with a reputable retailer on the size and flueing requirements for your heater. Portable LPG heaters do not require a flue as they are designed to ensure that any exhaust gas emissions are kept to a minimum and safe level. Check with a reputable retailer that your choice is appropriate for the room you require to be heated and remember that adequate ventilation is always required.
Log fires: The warmth and ambience of a log fire –without the mess.
Convection heaters: These heaters circulate warm, fan-forced air and are excellent for larger rooms or open plan areas
Radiant heaters: The most energy efficient of all gas heaters, radiant heaters are ideal for both living areas or small rooms like a study or TV room.
